Queering The Anti-War Voice

Aaron McAuliffe at The Underground Rainbow calls for a strong queer presence and voice in the U.S. anti-war movement. Citing the upcoming April 9th demonstrations in New York City and San Francisco, Aaron points out:

This will be an opportunity for queer people to represent our own force to be reckoned with. We will strengthen the overall numbers of the anti-war movement, while beginning to teach the vastly hetero-identified anti-war activists the necessity of integrating an anti-heterosexist perspective to their demands. We have the power to start a dialogue and inform many people who want to be our allies, exactly how they can do that.
